Natalie Portman Is Pregnant! Actress Expecting Baby No. 3 — Her First with Partner Tanguy Destable.
Natalie Portman is preparing to welcome a new addition to her family. The Thor: Love and Thunder star, 44, is pregnant with her third child — and her first with partner Tanguy Destable. The actress shared the joyful news exclusively with Harper’s Bazaar, expressing both excitement and gratitude.
“Tanguy and I are very excited,” Portman said. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
The pregnancy comes a year after Portman finalized her divorce from director‑choreographer Benjamin Millepied. The pair, who married in 2012, share two children: 14‑year‑old son Aleph and 9‑year‑old daughter Amalia. Portman’s relationship with Destable was confirmed in March 2025, following reports from French outlet Voici.

A Proud Mom of Two — Soon to Be Three
Although Portman is known for fiercely protecting her children’s privacy, she has occasionally offered glimpses into her life as a mother. Aleph and Amalia have been a major source of inspiration for her career choices — including her decision to take on the role of Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder.
“I feel like it’s the phase of my career where I’m really trying to just impress my kids,” she told Variety in 2022.
The actress also beams with pride when speaking about her children’s accomplishments. During a January appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she revealed that Aleph had launched his own clothing line, Vanté.
“My son, my 14‑year‑old, started a clothing line called Vanté. I’m very proud of him,” she said. “He really just did it all on his own. And so I wore one of his shirts on stage. I felt like a banner for him — it was very exciting.”

In a conversation with Wednesday star Jenna Ortega for Interview Magazine, Portman reflected on the joy she finds in watching her children grow.
“My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she said. She added that spending time with friends and their children has also been a meaningful part of her life recently.

Despite her openness in private settings, Portman has long maintained firm boundaries when it comes to her children’s public exposure.
“I’m not a particularly private person in real life — I’ll tell you anything — but in public, it was so clear early on that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy gets respected a lot more,” she explained. “I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, ‘I’m not going to do photo shoots with my kids.’”
With baby number three on the way, Portman enters a new chapter — one filled with excitement, gratitude, and the continued commitment to protecting her family while celebrating the joy they bring her.
