-The club wanted me to leave, that is my experience. I told this to the management but I don’t think they had the guts to make that decision since the manager wanted me. If I had said I wanted to leave, they would have let me go, Fernandes begins in the interview.
Fernandes tells how that felt, experiencing that the club he has given everything for since 2020 wanted to get rid of him.
-It hurts me a lot. More than hurting, it makes me sad. I could have left like many others do and said: “I want to leave, I don’t want to train”. But I never did that, says the United captain.
