Liverpool are struggling in the Premier League, supporters are criticising Arne Slot, but no one should forget that this is the club that played its way to the title in the world’s toughest league and lifted the trophy six months ago. In the transfer market, the club has secured almost all the players they have wanted, but even Liverpool must now realise that Plan A is not feasible.
Michael Olise has been strongly linked with Liverpool in recent months. Having played a role in 62 goals for Bayern Munich (29 goals, 33 assists) in 73 games, Olise delivers something like a Mo Salah at his peak – which makes it easy to understand why the Reds are eager to bring the Frenchman to Anfield.

Teamtalk’s sources have this week reported that the reigning Premier League champions will meet behind closed doors. German transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg explains the situation with Olise.
According to Plettenberg, Liverpool management are keen on Olise, but know there is little chance of luring him away from Bayern.
“Liverpool are fans of Michael Olise and see him as a future dream target. However, despite other reports, they are not planning a bid at this stage. He is not currently a concrete transfer target for LFC. Main reasons: He has no buyout clause in his contract, FC Bayern are not open to talks, and Olise himself is not inclined to leave,” the German reported on Twitter earlier.

Adding that the Merseyside club has set its sights on Plan B in the Premier League: “Liverpool are currently focusing on Antoine Semenyo.”
