Kelly Osbourne Shares Heartfelt Tribute to Her Father on the First Anniversary of His Death.
Kelly Osbourne honored her late father, Ozzy Osbourne on the first anniversary of his passing, sharing an emotional and deeply personal letter on Instagram that reflects the magnitude of her grief, love, and gratitude.
A Year Without Ozzy
“One year ago today, the world changed forever,” Kelly wrote, marking July 22 as a day that reshaped her life. She described feeling her father’s presence everywhere — in quiet moments, in the wind, in music, and even in the lingering scent of his cologne.
“You are all around me.”
Her words captured the painful contrast between spiritual closeness and physical absence.
“The hardest part isn’t that you’re gone. The hardest part is that I can’t touch you.”
A Father’s Enduring Influence
Kelly called Ozzy her protector, teacher, best friend, and “reason,” emphasizing how profoundly he shaped her life. Even through the chaos of their shared experiences, she said he made every moment worthwhile and taught her that love can be found in the simplest things.
She admitted that the love she once shared with him now has “nowhere to go” except into herself, her son Sidney, and her mother Sharon — a daily ache, but also a privilege.

A Legacy Felt Worldwide
Kelly acknowledged that her father never fully understood the impact he had on millions. After his death, countless fans shared stories of how Ozzy inspired them, comforted them, or gave them strength simply by being himself.
She described him as a “working-class hero” who never forgot his roots and whose honesty, courage, humor, and heart made people believe life could be better.
“There will never be another you.”
Guided by His Voice
Kelly admitted that the past year left her feeling “broken,” but she continues to follow the advice her father gave her.
“Your voice still guides me every day.”
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, at age 76. His death certificate listed out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and acute myocardial infarction as the primary causes, with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease contributing.
Earlier this month, Kelly honored him with a tattoo of his iconic round glasses. Meanwhile, Ozzy’s hometown of Birmingham celebrated the first-ever Ozzy Day, commemorating the legendary musician’s life and legacy.
