Jennifer Lopez Makes Her Coachella Debut, Joining David Guetta for Surprise Performance of “Save Me Tonight”

Jennifer Lopez has officially added Coachella to her long list of career milestones. On Saturday, April 11, the 56‑year‑old superstar made her first‑ever appearance at the iconic Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California — and she did it in spectacular fashion, stepping onstage as a surprise guest during David Guetta’s set.

A Grand Entrance and a New Collaboration

Guetta, 58, teased the moment by blending a snippet of Lopez’s classic hit “Waiting for Tonight” with images of the singer flashing across the screens. As the crowd erupted, he announced: “I invited a friend, and it’s her very, very first Coachella. Make some noise for Jennifer Lopez!”

Lopez then strutted onto the stage wearing a shimmering silver bodysuit, a dramatic green feathered jacket, and oversized sunglasses. She launched into the first live performance of “Save Me Tonight,” her new collaboration with Guetta, released in March after being teased last year. Mid‑performance, she removed her hood and sunglasses as dancers joined her, turning the surprise cameo into a full‑scale spectacle.

A Night to Remember

Two days later, on April 13, Lopez shared a video montage of the performance on Instagram, celebrating the moment with her fans.

“The most fun day!! ‘Save Me Tonight’ with David live for the first time at MY FIRST COACHELLA was so special,” she wrote. She added: “My happy era is rewriting everything. Don’t ever stop surprising yourself.”

Inside J.Lo’s “Happy Era”

The Coachella debut comes on the heels of Lopez completing her three‑month Up All Night Live residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The residency, which began in late 2025 and concluded on March 28, marked a creatively energized period for the singer.

During the opening night on December 30, Lopez told the audience she was entering her “happy era,” a phrase she has since repeated in interviews and across social media. In a Nightline interview aired March 11, she explained: “I’m in my happy era. I think, for the first time in my life, I feel like I’m free; I’m on my own. And it feels really good.”

A Return to Romantic Comedy

Alongside her musical momentum, Lopez is also embracing what she calls her “rom‑com era.” Later this year, she will star in Office Romance, a new Netflix romantic comedy opposite Brett Goldstein.

Reflecting on her beloved 2002 film Maid in Manhattan in an April 10 Instagram post, she wrote: “So many feelings! Such wonderful memories! And now with Office Romance, I am back in my RomCom era. It’s OUR Happy Era!!!”
