Jennifer Lopez Makes Brutal Joke About Her Four Failed Marriages During Las Vegas Show.
Jennifer Lopez proved once again that she’s not afraid to poke fun at herself. During a recent performance in her Up All Night Las Vegas residency, the 56‑year‑old singer and actress made a sharp, self‑deprecating joke about her history of divorces — a moment that quickly caught fans’ attention.
While speaking to the audience between songs at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace on March 6, Lopez quipped:
“After my third divorce, that’s when I really started getting good at it.”
The crowd erupted in laughter, but Lopez quickly shifted to a more serious tone, acknowledging that her 2014 split from Marc Anthony — her longest marriage — had been an emotionally difficult chapter.
“Seriously, that’s not funny,” she added. “It was actually a really tough time. I was really about to give up on it all. I mean, I was a single mom with two 3‑year‑old twins.”

Lopez went on to share a story about seeking support from her mentor at the time, the late motivational speaker Louise Hay. According to Lopez, Hay helped her reframe her struggles by comparing them to learning choreography.
Hay asked her what a dancer does when they get the steps wrong. Lopez replied, “I just keep going until I get the steps right.” To which Hay responded: “That’s right, Jennifer. Always keep dancing.”
The singer closed the moment with a heartfelt message to her fans:
“I wish the same for every last one of you — that no matter what life throws at you, you dance, and you dance, and you dance, again and again.”
