Jamie Lee Curtis drew widespread attention after sharing a bold Instagram selfie in which she proudly displayed a black lace bra gifted to her by her goddaughter, Maggie Gyllenhaal.

The actress explained that the gesture was her way of supporting Gyllenhaal’s upcoming film The Bride! and celebrating their long‑standing family bond.

A bold post with a heartfelt purpose

Curtis, 67, is known for her candid and expressive presence on social media, but even fans were surprised to see the Hollywood icon flashing what she jokingly called her “money makers.” In the caption, she explained that Gyllenhaal had sent her the lingerie as part of a collaboration tied to The Bride! and that wearing it felt like the most fitting way to show her support while riding through New York City in a limo.

She praised the film as “audacious, bold, punk, feminist, opera‑like,” expressing immense pride in her goddaughter’s creative vision.

The Bride! — a new take on a classic

Gyllenhaal’s film, premiering this Friday, reimagines Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. The story follows Dr. Euphronious (played by Annette Bening), who resurrects a murdered young woman to serve as a companion for Frankenstein’s monster, portrayed by Christian Bale. The cast also includes Jessie Buckley, Peter Sarsgaard, and Jake Gyllenhaal — Curtis’ godson.

Curtis’ own projects

While cheering on the Gyllenhaals, Curtis is simultaneously promoting her upcoming Prime Video series Scarpetta, debuting on 11 March. She noted that her lacy look even reminded her of her character Dorothy Farinelli.

A long‑standing family connection

Curtis has often expressed admiration for Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal, celebrating their artistic growth and reflecting on the joy of watching them evolve from childhood into accomplished performers.
