Harry Styles Kisses Male Co-Star During SNL Monologue as He Playfully Addresses ‘Queerbaiting’ Allegations.

Harry Styles turned his Saturday Night Live monologue into a sharp, funny, and surprisingly candid moment as he tackled long‑standing accusations of “queerbaiting” — and sealed the bit with an on‑stage kiss.

The 32‑year‑old singer, known for his fluid fashion sense and refusal to label his sexuality, used humor to defuse the controversy that has followed him for years.

“Maybe you don’t know everything about me, Dad!”

Styles opened the topic with a wink to the audience.

“Back then, people seemed to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing, and some people accused me of something called ‘queerbaiting,’” he said. “But did it ever occur to you: You don’t know everything about me, Dad!”

The line instantly became a fan favorite online.

Queerbaiting — defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as the “targeted provocation of LGBTQ people” — has been a recurring criticism aimed at Styles, who has consistently emphasized the importance of not being boxed into labels.

A parade of almost-kisses… until one finally lands

The monologue then shifted into a comedic sequence promoting his new album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. Styles joked that despite the title, he doesn’t actually kiss “all the time.”

One by one, SNL cast members appeared behind him, each hinting at a kiss before dramatically exiting. Finally, fellow cast member Ben Marshall stepped in.

“You said ‘tight little bum,’ so where’s my kiss?” Marshall teased.

Styles shot back: “C’mon, Ben, everyone knows there’s nothing little about that thang. You’re holding a damn wagon back there.”

“Whatever, come here,” Marshall replied — and the two shared a quick kiss on live television.

Styles grinned and declared, “Now that’s queerbaiting.”

Fans erupt: “He finally said it!”

The moment sent social media into a frenzy, with fans celebrating both the humor and the unexpected directness.

  • “Harry joking about queerbaiting and kissing a man on live TV… what is happening, but I love it,” one viewer wrote.
  • “I’m queer and I’m so baited. Please give me more,” another joked.
  • “He’s never addressed anything like this before. Finally people can shut up,” a fan added.

Others praised the “Dad” line as an instant meme.

A new album and a new openness

Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally marks Styles’ fourth solo album, released earlier this month. In a recent interview with the BBC, he reflected on the personal growth behind the record.

“When you close certain doors off to protect yourself, you also shut out a lot of positive things,” he said. “For me, it was about being more open, trusting, meeting new people, and saying yes to things.”

He added that the album encourages listeners to embrace their own experiences and stay open to the world.
