When Leeds secured another promotion to the Premier League last summer, it wasn’t long before reports emerged that the club’s management were seriously considering getting rid of the manager who had brought them back to the top flight. ‘Daniel Farke was still given confidence, optimism with the German at the helm at Elland Road was high. Then the season started, 12 games into the season Farke understands the football anger of Leeds fans.

Daniel Farke says he understands the “anger and disappointment” of Leeds United fans after losing 2-1 at home to Aston Villa. The pressure is mounting on the Leeds manager after suffering his fifth defeat in his last six Premier League games. Emotions threatened to boil over at Elland Road when a supporter tried to confront the German during the match.

“Everyone is disappointed. I don’t want a single change from our supporters. I don’t want them to be happy (after we lost) and give a little applause. We have a very passionate fan base and that’s what we want – it’s a privilege. I don’t want our supporters to change one percent. They should be angry and disappointed. I feel exactly the same and then we expect it to be that way. I understand that completely,” Farke said, according to Goal.

A tough manager, no doubt about it, but we still don’t see Leeds having the leadership in the German to survive – and assert themselves in the world’s toughest league. Oh how we miss having Marcelo Bielsa on the sidelines at ‘Elland Road. He led Leeds back to the top flight in 2019, finishing 9th in the 2019/20 Premier League season. The following season came the downturn with injuries to key players Phillips, Bamford and captain Liam Cooper. In February 2022, Leeds management chose to sack their successful manager after four consecutive defeats, two points above the relegation zone.

Jesse Marsch, Javi Gracia, Sam Allardyce came and went. Now it’s Daniel Farke’s turn.

Leeds fans definitely miss the time with Master Bielsa.
